Senior officials from the United States and Russia are meeting in Saudi Arabia for talks aimed at preparing a possible summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin later this month. The discussions, hosted by Saudi National Security Adviser Musaed Al-Aiban, are focused on setting a date before the start of Ramadan in March.
The U.S. delegation is expected to include National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and special envoy Steve Witkoff, while Russian officials attending have not been fully disclosed. Ukrainian representatives are also expected to participate in the discussions, given the ongoing war in Ukraine.
